If you are already a subscriber just login in and you will be upgraded automatically.First, a big thanks needs to go out to all of you that have been using Showit because without you a version 2.0 would never have been possible. But I also cannot pass out the thanks without thanking the Showit development team (Todd, Aaron, and Brett) for putting in some long hours the last few weeks in being ready to launch Showit v2.0 exactly 1 year after the launch of Showit v1.0. That's right, it's anniversary day!
Showit 2.0 has a ton of new really awesome features but we are most excited to announce that Showit is now FREE! If you are currently a subscriber you now have Showit Pro, which is still $39 per month. The new FREE version is pretty awesome too!

Making changes across multiple layers just got a whole lot easier. We've drastically reduced the number of clicks it takes to make changes across as many layers as you need. Want to change the text size or color across your entire navigation... now it only takes a few clicks. Want to make all your images transition out the same way... just a few short clicks. The same goes for size, position, rotation, locking, links, and effects. Editing your site just got a whole lot faster!
We've redone the shapes in our media library to give you a lot more control over their style. You can now easily add round corners, gradients, and borders. Try adding a subtle gradient across a background square to get that finishing touch. Add a square with a black and white radial gradient, change the blend mode to overlay... and you've got yourself a nice vignette. The new polygon shape can take on as many sides as you want as well! Triangles or stars are all at your fingertips now.
Now you can take your site to new places... your blog header! We've heard from a lot of you that you'd like to make your blog and your site look more alike... so we're taking steps in that direction. With the brand new ability to embed a page of your site... you can now easily customize your blog header or the top of your SmugMug page.
Well, if it's a font name... not necessarily a whole bunch. That's why we added the actual fonts themselves to the font selection drop down. Now you won't have to select a couple different fonts before finding the one you want. With the preview, you'll get it right the first time.
We felt your pain when it came to selecting multiple layers at the same time... it was a drag. Now it literally is a drag! Just drag out an area to select anything under the created selection pane. Very intuitive... and definitely a time saver. And if you still can't get all the specific layers you need... try out the layers tab. With a SHIFT or CTRL click... you can now select multiple layers from there as well.
Since our last update we've added a couple more widgets you'll want to check out. You can get your Twitter feed pulled in to your site now as well as create a button for PayPal payments. Just added tonight was a pop up menu! This gives you the ability to hide some of that navigation and let people focus on your images instead!
